In the case of working under conditions other than normal the values may deviate from those given in the table.

Application:

leveling of highly porous mineral surfaces with water absorption exceeding 10% (foam and gas concrete, shell limestone, etc.) with a layer of 5 to 30 mm indoors and outdoors prior to decorative finishing. May be used as decorative and protective coating before painting.


Composition:

white or gray cement high-quality cement PC І-500, foamglass, lime, graded aggregates, modifying additives, polypropylene fibers.


Surface preparation (according to DSTU-N B А.3.1-23:2013, DBN V.2.6-22-2001):

surface prepared for covering should be strong and homogeneous by water absorption, and free from dust, dirt, oil and any substances that reduce adhesion;

surface areas damaged by biological corrosion should be removed as much as possible, and the surface itself should be treated with Siltek E-112 antiseptic prime coating;

cracks, interpanel joints or defects exceeding 20 mm in depth should be repaired with Siltek PМ-17 mixture and and left for at least 24 hours. To improve contact with surface it is recommend to add Siltek E-120 composition instead of water. In exceptional cases where it is necessary to repair the deeper (up to 100 mm) defects, apply the mix in several layers using alkali-resistant lath, leaving each layer for at least 24 hours; 

to ensure better adhesion of plaster to the surface it is recommended to use Siltek TM prime coatings according to their intended purpose:   

- sand-cement or cement-lime surfaces of undetermined strength to be covered with Siltek E-110 prime coating;

- brick and strong sand-cement surfaces to be covered with Siltek E-100 prime coating;

- surfaces of porous concrete to be covered with Siltek E-5 or Siltek E-105 prime coating, , to ensure vapor permeabilty it is recommended to treat the surfaces with Siltek ЕS-10 or Siltek ЕC-10 prime coating;

- plasterboard, as well as gypsum and smooth concrete surfaces shall be covered with Siltek Е-105 prime coating;

leave prime coated surfaces for at least 4 hours before applying plaster.

to achieve level, high quality plastered surface set the screeds using Siltek T-90 dry mix at a distance that is 20 cm less than lute's length.


Preparation of mortar mix:

when applied by machine:

prepare a plastering station according to Operating Instructions;

set the desired water flow according to the proportion;

supply mortar mix to the site using plastering station;  

when applied by hand:

pour water in a clean working container at the rate of:

- for the first layer (contact) - 340 – 360 ml of water per 1 bag of Siltek Р-17 dry mix (8.5 - 9.0 l per 1 bag);

- for the second (priming) and the third (leveling) layer - 230 – 250 ml of water per 1 bag of Siltek Р-17 dry mix (5.75 - 6.25 l per 1 bag);

gradually add dry mix and stir with a low-speed mixer to obtain homogeneous, pasty mass without lumps;

leave mortar mix for 5 minutes and stir again for 1 minute.


Application process:

when finishing with mortar mix of 5 to 10 mm thick the following process operations shall be performed: 

  a) make the first "contact" layer with a thickness of 1 to 2 mm by applying and smearing mortar mix into the surface using metal putty knife. 

  b) no later than 5 to 10 minutes after application of "contact" layer  (depending on air temperature) make the second "leveling" layer by  "wet-on-wet" technique to the thickness of 4 to 8 mm; 

when finishing with mortar mix of 10 to 30 mm thick the following process operations shall be performed:

  a) make the first "contact" layer with a thickness of 1 to 2 mm by applying and smearing mortar mix into the surface using metal putty knife. 

  b) no later than 5 to 10 minutes (depending on air temperature), make the second "priming" layer with a thickness of 15 to 20 mm by hand using metal putty knife or by machine using spray gun and holding it perpendicular to the surface at a distance of 10 to 30 cm.

  c) no later than after 2 to 4 hours (depending on air temperature) apply the third "leveling" layer by "wet-on-wet" technique to the desired thickness; 

in case of machine application of mortar mix the layer thickness depends on gun movement speed – the lower the speed, the higher layer thickness, and vice versa; apply mortar mix by horizontal stripes between the screeds, where no screeds are available the stripe length should be 50 to 70 cm, each previous stripe should be overlapped by 2 to 3 cm by the following stripe;

after applying top "leveling" layer float mortar mix according to screeds using metal float no later than 5 to 7 minutes after application, where no screeds are available check the horizontal and vertical deviations of the surface by means of level, cord or float;

shut off the air valve on the spray gun (supply of mortar mix will stop) after application of mortar mix onto the surface;

if necessary, after 2 to 4 hours (depending on air temperature and layer thickness) finally level the surface cutting off the excess material by the edge of a long lute, moisten and float the plaster using a metal or plastic putty knife and shape the corners;

CAUTION! Mortar in the mixer or hose should not be stationary for more than 30 minutes;

before ending the application of plaster cut off dry mixture supply to the mixer without turning off the pump, and continue applying mortar mix until it is completely removed from the mixer and hoses;

wash the machine and tools thoroughly upon completion or stoppage of work;

paper bags and the remains of the mortar should be disposed of as required by DSanPiN 2.2.7.029;

to provide an attractive aesthetic appearance it is recommended to finish Siltek R-17 plaster with Р-15, РА-15, РS-15, РС-15 decorative plasters or to paint with D-10, D-11, DC-10, DS-10 paints.


Packaging:

paper bags with inner polyethylene layer, net weight 25 kg, or silo with a volume of 22 m³.


Storage:

in undamaged packaging, on pallets, in dry place at temperatures not above 40 °C and air humidity not above 75%. Guaranteed shelf life is 12 months from manufacturing date.


Safety Rules:

keep out of the reach of children;

while working protect the respiratory system;

avoid contact with skin;

in case of contact with eyes rinse with clean water and, if necessary, seek medical advice.


Caution:

plaster surfaces must be treated with Siltek E-105 primer at least 4 to 6 hours before applying Siltek Р-17 plaster;

avoid contact and priming layer drying, apply each subsequent layer "wet-on-wet";

it is recommended to perform all work at the surface and air temperature of + 5 °C to 30 °C and relative humidity of 55-65%;

prevent rapid drying (avoid drafts, exposure to sunlight, heating units), moisten, if necessary.

protect newly applied mortar mix from rain for 24 hours.
